Fundraising by the Auxiliary
Updated fundraising can be found on Facebook. Our fundraising is varied from Raffles, BBQ, Catering and Stalls.

Melbourne Cup
At the Melbourne Cups Luncheon the Auxiliary catered for 200 people and Cliffs surprised us with another donation.

May Day
Each year we have a fundraising celebration, for May Day which is 15th May and we remember the time when Qantas supplied the first aircraft De Havilland, called Victory which departed Cloncurry in Queensland for Julia Creek where the plane was met by 100 people at the airstrip.

Catering
A two day catering tent stall held at ‘Larger than Life Festival’ by Esperance Community Arts.

Raffles
In Esperance when selling raffle tickets we have observed that every second person, young and old are only too happy to donate because they have been touched in some way whether some-one in their family or they know of someone or indeed they themselves have used the service. An example of this was when we conducted our last big raffle, proceeds were $10,000-00 of which $4,000-00 were donations.

Funding
The State Government has been very supportive of the RFDS as has the Corporate sector in WA and in Esperance Cliffs Natural Recourses, however it’s the fundraising efforts of individuals, communities and groups that help to keep the Doctor flying. Particular mention is that the town of Esperance is most generous from Business Houses to the private sector.
